About Me

Finding Inspiration with Water & Pigments

I am a full-time watercolor artist who works from my little in‑home studio, a space that allows me to revel in the playful, ever-changing nature of paint and water. My approach is semi-realistic and photographic: I carefully capture lights, colors, and bokeh to convey the atmosphere, context, and structure of each subject on paper.

My Story

I’ve been doodling for as long as I can remember - with pencils, scraps of random paper, little sketches tucked into the corners of my childhood. As an immigrant kid, art felt like a private joy my parents gently (or not-so-gently) reminded me is “just a dream.” Somehow that dream followed me into adulthood, and now I’m stepping into what I hope will be my final career move.

My early years were all No. 2 pencils and paper. Over time I flirted with colored pencils, acrylics, and oils, but it was watercolor that stole my heart: the way pigment blooms and pools, the tiny surprises that happen when water and color meet. I still remember a video that stopped me in my tracks: someone grinding rocks into pigment, turning stone into color, and I was utterly captivated.

In early 2020 the world slowed with COVID, and with a little extra time, I picked up better watercolor paper, a few brushes, and dove in. Friends and family cheered me on (Facebook was very kind), and five years later I finally took the leap to paint full-time. I genuinely love what I do and I especially love my little quiet experiments, the joyful accidents, the small, luminous moments on paperand I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy making it.
